not the best, but it's a pic!
Finally got a pic of our female motley amel corn. Didn't have enough film to get a size reference one, but she is about 2ft and takes 2, 1 wk old rat pups every 5-7 days (whenever she starts hunting)
It's not the best either. But here you go!

Nice to finally see her. From the pic it almost looks like she is motley at the top and then banded towards her tail. Even from this pic I can see that she is quite a bit larger than mine.

she does look like she has bands doesn't she? Now I have to go check her out! lol. She is 7 months old, and a friggin pig! She is big enough to take 2 wk old rats now (but for now it's two 1 wk old rats). If only she were bigger she could take the rejected rats from my bp's.

no problem. I hope to one day get a bloodred and breed them. What would that pairing make?

She looks like a very nice motley amel - lots of orange in the saddles.
If bred to a normal bloodred you would get all normal offspring that could show some bloodred characteristics. The bloodred pattern is not inheritied as a single gene recessive, so does often show some influence in outcrossed animals. You would cover the amelanistic though unless you bred to an amel bloodred. They are very dramatic snakes and you might want to consider getting one of those as a mate for yours.
thanks for sharing the photo.
