North Mexican pines
Thought you all might like to take a look at the pair of pines I got last year from Ryan and Sheila at Scales Zoo. The female is about 5' now and BOY are the colours ever coming out! She rarely does the tail buzz any more, and is a JOY to handle. I just love this pair. Next year I should be ready to breed...

...and here's the male. Still a sweeyheart and "pineing" away for his girl (hasn't started eating yet after brumation).

Actually, they are considered one of the "ugly ducklings" of the snake world. Those colours intensify from dull brown babies into the stunning colours they have now.

Really? I thought it would be the other way around. That goes to show you how much I know about Pines.
Pretty sweet looking pair. Good luck with them!

Super-nice!! Wish I could find a pair.
Thanks for sharing (and adding yet ANOTHER specie to my "wanted list", LOL!).
Great stuff.

Katt - I gotta tell you, if it weren't for the cost and hastle of shipping I might have bought that one myself. Gotta' love these babies, EH? What happened to the other female, do you know?

Well, I wasn't trying to be greedy. Just thought a 3rd would be good for breeding stock. Are you planning to breed? ... and how big is your female now?
