There's a lot of general information on the web but not a lot of specifics that I've been able to find. Mine is about 8 mos. old and has never given me any problems. She has been a problem-free eater and has never had any problems with shedding. I keep my herp room at a constant 77-79 deg and about 75 at night with natural daylight through a window and no additional heating elements or heat gradient. I keep ambient humidity at around 50% but I do mist lightly when she's ready to shed. She's VERY easy to handle and will lay comfortably in my hand or curled around a finger (although she seems kind of ridgid most of the time... kind of like a piece of soft wire). Mine is a nice light blond with a pinkish hue on her nech. I just love the black and white checkering on the first 1/3 of her body and how they change to caramel stripes from the 1/2 way point to the tip of the tail.
Under-rated?... YES... but I think most ratsnakes are...
