Question about T's drinking.
All, has anyone seen there T drinking, cuz I've never seen my Rose Hair do it?
I've had my Rose Hair (Articuno) for over a year now, and never once seen him drinking.
Also how do they drink?

Small tarantulas I've noticed prefer to drink for little water droplets after a misting. Larger tarantulas seem to catch on to water dishes, here are some pics of my Charlotte drinking after I cleaned and refilled her dish:
This is pretty much the only time I've seen one of my larger Ts drink this way.

Paolo,
I have seen my Ts drink quite often, but I have so many that I just raise the odds that I will see that happening... even if you have not seen yours do it, it does, just when you are not looking!
Everytime I have seen some of my adults do it, they were drinking by "plundging" prosoma first in the water dish, that is why you have to make sure the dish is wide enough and deep enough to accomodate your T... I have seen extremely dehydrated Ts that I had just imported staying for half an hour like that "head" firsf in the water dish drinking...
I hope this helps
Martin

My T's drink like Pixie's do. I have never seen them drink droplets myself, but both stick their heads in.
Sometimes if the dish is empty, and I am refilling it by pouring water into the cage they will run out like crazy spiders trying to catch the water flowing down thinking its food. lol

He he, Pixie, very nice picture
Caught in the act!
As you all can see, Pixie provided a water dish wide enough and deep enough to accomodate her animal... that is how it should be...
Great pic

Thank you
My Charlotte is always giving me great poses and pic opportunities.
Coming shortly, her recent molting pics I caught her in the act and like the last time (a year and a half ago!) she did it out in the open so I got some fantastic pics Actually, I'm off to resize and upload those right now!
