Rose Hair ate his first fuzzy

FINALLY, Articuno ate his first Fuzzy yesterday. All this time I've been feeding him large crickets.

Question for all: After he finishes his dinner, how long will he be good for until I've got to feed him again? Before he started, he hasn't eaten in maybe a month to a month and a half. Within that time, he had molted once.

Any advice would be great.

Thanks in advance.

I wait a good week after feeding my Ts big meals of pinks or fuzzies. If the T is still very nice and plump, I'll wait another week. If it looks like it can eat again right away, I'll give it a few crickets.

I prefer not to "overfeed" my tarantulas. It technically can't really be done but I don't like it when their abdomens get too fat as they are more fragile then.

Except for my goliath, a rat pink will last most of my larger Ts a good 2 weeks.

I agree with Pixie. I like too feed lots but not overfeed. My birdeater...well I couldn't fill him up if I tried....and my Bolivian Pink eats a gazillion crickets but thats because she prefers those tiny meals over a pinky or fuzzy.

I feed all my Ts live food, haven't really tried a f/t pink or fuzzy. Since I breed my own rats, I have them available pretty much all the time.

I've heard of other keepers being able to feed f/t mice or rats to their Ts but it isn't always easy! Some just don't take to food that's already dead.
