What signs do gravid jacksoni xants show just before birthing? Egg layers wander like nomads, but Jax? I have no idea how far along mine is, she is not eating, has not been for weeks, but drinks and is quite fat. How will I know when to remove her to the birthing enclosure?
During the last stage - her weight gain will stop or she may lose weight. Her food intake will start to drop off about 4 weeks before birth and eventually she'll stop eating. A couple days before birth - she'll become restless. They usually give birth in the morning hours.
Just curious - why would you move her to a birthing enclosure?
