can anyone answer these substrate questions

where in the GTA can i get large bags of cypress mulch cheap?

and is pine mulch suitable for reptiles?
iam aware cedar isnt
but how about pine?

Have you tried Home Depot? If not some other garden supply stores should have fairly priced bulk cypress.

No. All softwoods are mildy toxic, especially in the mulched up forms since that releases more of the oils. Cedar is by far the most toxic, but pine is also mildly toxic.

ive been to most garden centers in my area

cant find cypress anywhere
not even home depot

iam in the gta
anything around me maybe?

quick rule of thumb softwoods have needles, and hardwoods have leaves stick to the leaves and you're good to go

At the last show, Prts credit was selling the large bag of a (like 2 feet by 3 feet hight I think) for 20$ a bag .. wich is a kind of good deal if u need to find some Although there not worth nearly that much. I get them for 4.99 at a local garden store in the ottawa reagion. They don't have them in stock but they can order them ..

Ask at the local garden centers .. they usually should be able to order them for you.
