Are JCP's arboreal?

I noticed that when given a place to "perch" (as in ATB's or GTP's, etc) my JCP will do this. I'm not asking if there is something wrong with my snake, lol.. Just wondering if they could be classified as "arboreal". I don't think they are, as I have not seen any info on it. Just a question since every time I go to feed her, she willingly takes it while perched on a branch, and will continue the feeding process hanging upside down.

I know that with other species (such as ball pythons or even kingsnakes), if given the opportunity, would climb or rest "perched". But Jungle carpets just have that "skinny and long" arboreal look to them...

Any thoughts?

Well,

Carpet pythons probably wouldnt be classified as an arboreal but they do like climing in trees and stuff. A cage that is 4' long, 2' deep(front to back) and 2-3' high(great for a full grown specimen but as we all know, the bigger the better!) would be totally utilized. If given the opertunity, carpets will climb. They dont absolutely need it but its great for them.

they are slightly arboreal i guess some are Nd some aren't

My male is always perched and my female is alwasy on the ground..

My JCP's often perch for the most part of the day and esecially at night.

I wouldn't worry about it. I do calssify them as arboreal. JMHO

Some will climb if given the chance, some will not.It is not necessary for their well being to provide climbing accessories so I would argue that they are semi-aboreal.

Mine are just like Dom's. The Male is a climber and the female isnt

Thanks for the input, guys. I just thought it was kind of cool that she held on with her tail while she was eating upside down; it looked like I was feeding my ATB, lol. If one of my ball pythons was laying up there and grabbed the mouse, they would hit the ground as soon as they grabbed it, LOL.

oh ya its definatly cool. my male did that a couple of feedings ago. It was great.
