Tumor!

I have a breeder female mouse that has developed a large tumor. She is still breeding ok. I usually feed off my breeders after they get older and their productivity decreases. My question is does anyone see a problem feeding a mouse with a tumor to my snakes? Logic would tell me it's not a problem, but I wanted to hear others thoughts on it.

Thanks,

Mike

It's not a problem, as far as I know. I've done it.
Cancer isn't really contagious, and tumors are simply masses of cells that are replicating abnormally. They get ingested just like any normal
tissue.
The only concern I would have is that if the tumor was known to occur as the direct result of exposure to a toxin, or poison. If this was the case there is a possibility that the rodent may still contain carcinogens.

a tumour on a mouse is not necessarily cancerous. I have fed them, with no problems before.

Tumors on mice are very, very common. They are very suceptible to developing them. The tumors may or may not be malignant.
