Don Patterson

Is one hell of a guy to deal with.

Got a phone call this morning telling us he could send us our diamond whenever we wanted. He said he could do it today, and in 10 minutes phoned us to tell us the snake would be landing in 6 hours.

The snake was packed really well, something I haven't been accustomed to seeing lately - and it showed up in great health.

This little girl is completely unrelated to our male. In fact, Don had us send pictures of our male so that he could pic a female that he thought would look like it when they got older.

Looks like Don has made quite a few people really happy in the last week - and I'm sure Mark and Jeff made him happy with enough money to build an addition to his house.

Nice baby. No kidding about the new addition to his house... $4,000 CND for a pair of Womas!?!? That's $3,019.93 USD
You can get VERY nice unrelated pairs for half that in the states...
Money hungry!

Not money hungry, he is just selling the snakes at their current Canadian value.

If they weren't worth that, people wouldn't buy them.

Since we can't get womas from the States, it doesn't much matter how low a price they go down there, supply / demand will still be the same in Canada.

However, if people continue to have such success with Woma's in Canada, our smaller market could easily saturate, and the price could drop to less than what it is in the U.S - but I would not call you money hungry for selling them at current U.S market prices.

It is just the way things work!

Good point, I wasn't aware of the low availability of Woma's in Canada. Never did much looking around at the breeders there. I went to his site after seeing Mark and Jeff's Woma's to look at his prices. Well my apologies for speaking without knowing the facts.
That still has to be at the high end of prices for these snakes though. We have breeders here that are quite a bit more expensive than others naturally. Some asking as much as $1,000 for lone males. Money hungry?

Congrats guys! I have to add that Don is hardly a money hungry guy. Yes of course he does wish for more money but hey, who doesn't. Besides, Don puts work into his animals. He puts the extra effort which alot of us can't do with our own collections sometimes. I still wish our woma deal went through but then again, there's always tomorrow.

I look forward to dealing with Don in the future when finances permit. He has not only the rarest finds in Canada, but he breeds the best stock, taes the best care of them, and from what I've heard (including in this post) knows how to make customers happy. Whatever he charges for his high end snakes is money well spent.

Don is the man hands down! You always know what you can expect with him deal after deal. Sure maybe some times I could get the same snake Don has from someone else cheaper but I don't know what I'm getting. With Don I know it will be nothing but the best. When I buy from him I have to add another $130+ in shipping but I don't mind because for me it's not just about keeping herps, it's about keeping the highest quality herps possible.
Cheers,
Trevor

I'll jump on the Don band wagon too! Every snake I have gotten from him has been better than he said it would be and I think his prices for the quality are fair. He still phones me to inquire about how the animals are doing. His animals are outstanding to say the least, you won't go wrong buying animals from him!

I hope that wasn't too much with the brown nosing Don ? lol

Sounds like Don was a little on the slow side with your shipment, mine took less than 4 hours once we were off the phone LOL. Well Don must have a little room left on one of his cheeks for me to kiss too, LOL afterall he is "THE MAN". Everyone has heard the expression "You pay your money , you take your chances". With Don you pay your money & absolutely nothing is left to chance. Everything is exactly as stated or better (Don can be modest at times, LOL) Anyhow both cheeks must be covered by now, NUFF SAID Mark I.

Congrats on your new addition, she looks awesome!

I've heard nothing but good things about Don, and one day when I'm rich I'll be very happy that he only lives like 30 minutes away! LOL.... his animals are stellar, and well worth the money from what I've seen!

Mark, the only reason our snakes took 6 hours is because they had to land in Calgary, then get moved to a plane going to Medine Hat. Don was not slow, it is just Air Canada.

Does Don have a 3rd cheek?

Don Patterson

Wow guys, thanks so much for the kind words! It has been a long 13 years putting my buisness together and slowly growing it up. Comments like these really make all the hard work worth it. Thanks again.
