Winter temps

I think I'll have problems getting my leo temps up during winter. Is it safe to keep them colder during winter? Is 75-80*F good for a hot end or is that too low?

they need around 84 degrees for proper digestion

You really should try for 85 degrees for the hot side. You want to make sure that they can digest their food. Also, if they are going to be cooled, be sure to reduce the amount of food you offer a couple of weeks before you drop the temps. That way they don't have too much undigested food in their stomaches.

Use a heat pad if you can. That way even if you cant get the air temp up, they will be able to find a surface that is warm enough. If you don't use an adustable one I would recommend using a dimmer or a thermostat with it otherwise they can get up to 105-115 degrees F.
