Question New Corn Owner

Well my partner finally found a corn that she likes....no, LOVES the corn....Motley Amel. Corn! And we hope to be getting one by the 20th of next month...we've read all the care sheets we can get our hands on.. and plan on getting the book "the corn snake manual" so any additional info that you don't think the book covers go ahead and tell us!

Honestly, that books rules. Its a cornsnake bible. Every you need to know is in there, and will be completly understood even better with some hands on experience for a few weeks with your new snake.

Yup. Just set it up, leave it alone for a week, feed it, and then you are able to start holding it. thats when it becomes even more fun!!!

Corn snakes absolutely rule. RedDragon and I have 8 and absolutely no plans to stop there. Be sure to post pics when you pick it up.

i agree... almost every normal occurance is in the manual. anything on top of that happens infrequetnly enough that posting here is probably hte only way you're gonna get answers. Really, you shouldn't need to know much more than the manual.
Good luck!

I can also recommend the Corn Snake Manual. Just make sure its the one by Bill and Kathy Love as I've seen a couple of others with the same/similar title.

I'd also recommend '277 Secrets Your Snake Wants You To Know'. I found it a fascinating read which answers many questions you may have that aren't generally speciffic to the care of the snake, more useful and useless information! Very entertaining read.

Cheers
Chris.

hmmm......I may not find that here. I'm in the states (one of the worst ones) and they ban absolutely everything in this one......I'm surprised they haven't banned breathing....walking, talking......etc...etc... but seriously do you think I could find it at a book store?

It's simple to order these books online. Kathy Loves book is available from her website as well.
