Python timorensis??
Anyone who have or had a Timor's python?
They are very beautiful pythons (and expensive too) but i don't know about their dispositions.

I've only spoken with people that have had them, no actual experience with them myself... but I guess that answer is better than no answer From what I understand, they can be a bit high strung and don't hesitate to give a good musking.

Hi Greg,
I have 5 of them(2.3), all adults. I'd be happy to answer any Q's you may have on this species.

Hi Chris,
I have many questions to ask. I like those very much.
Do you have any photos? I saw a photo on a book "Pythons" -Barron's editions and it was a yellow python with beize patterns and with a very elongated head.
Are there various morphs?
They are medium length pythons right? close to 1,8 m adults?
Have you tried breeding them?...
Thanks!
(Boy!...that yellow one in the photo of the book is something else!)
~Greg~

This is my biggest female, she is about 7.5 feet(230cm).
I am not aware of any morphs of this snake as they have such a small range. They do not even exist on Timor, most are found on the island of Flores and other nearby islands.
I just aquired this unreal group of animals from a friend this year and hope to have success with this difficult to breed species in the years to come.
Linds is partly right with the musking. My males tend to give you a musk shower, my females don't. They are unpredictable in nature, sometimes tolerating being handled, other times acting like wild caught retics!...got nailed pretty good last week lol
Definitely one of my favourite pythons but not for everybody.
Chris

She is a beauty!...Yeap, i've read that they are difficult to breed, but you could give it a try.
Too bad they have such unpredictable character cause they are beautiful and of medium sized pythons...
as you said...definitely, not for everyone.
I saw your site...and i saw that you had Chinese cave gecko.
Is that the kurowai or the luii from the Goniurosauridae family?

Yes, i have experienced the great musking from timors.
as Chris stated, males musk, females dont. Atleast that has been our experience with them.
Infact, its almost a given on sex determination by observing who musks and who doesn't.
we called em' before inserting the probe and were right everytime.
not a pic of me getting musked, but heres a size comparison of one of the adults.
as u can see, i had my timor-sexing gear on...
