Black Stripes hatching
This is my second year in a row producing second generation (F2) Black Stripes. These are from breeding an F1 Black Stripe male back to his Black Striped mother.
She laid 9 eggs for me this season. Last year she laid 7 eggs and all 7 were males! This year she produced a few females for me.

In with the 9 black stripes from 2003 is the nicest male black stripe that I produced in 2002. He is a brother to the ones that were just produced.

Those are pretty cool lookin'. Is this something you've been working on or perhaps an accident from a black back project? Either way they look really good, congrats.

Gorgeous snakes!!!
I have a question about black backs: How many "breaks" in the stripe are tolerated to still be considered a black back?

Hi Corey! GREAT babies, I have some black backs too! Not of my own breeding, too young. You gave me some advice about some ball ptyhons I had adopted months ago, one being to skinny and the other had a tear down his belly. I wanted to thank you again for your help, I have good news and bad, bad first the skinny one passed away. The good news one with the tear is a very healthy boy which I fully adopted (at the time he belonged to the pet store where I work) I purchased him for a very cheap price. He's doing GREAT his name is Serendipity, just thought you'd like an update! Congrats on your hatchlings!!!
