I don't know anybody that has an Emerald in fact I've never seen an one, but I'd love to get one. I've read they have nasty big canines, does anyone have a pic of en emerald with it's mouth open? and is it true that it hutrs like hell when they bite you?

Our friend Steve took a hit to the chest that tore him up pretty good. He has scars, and still gets goose bumps when he tells the story

I know someone who lost part of movement on his hand because of a bite from an Emerald. They do have big teeth, but a lot of snakes have big ones to. I guess it's how deep they actually drive them into your skin that makes it hurt more. People will ahve the reflect to pull away and only end up making the bite worse and hurting the snake

I've only been bitten by two of our emeralds, one was helping with a bad shed and the other was from scaring the snake when I woke her up. Nothing major.

how big were they?
An adult female can deliver a nasty bite if she wants. just like iguanas, most often their bitets aren't bad, but if you get one that starts shaking his head along with it, then you need stitches big time!

The first one was only about 3' at the time, the female is 6' and 10 lbs.

Here are a couple of pics of ETB teeth. They were all I could find. This will give you an idea of how nasty they can be.
That's about all I could find on the net.

Sure it did BOAS_N_PYTHONS, thatīs an amazing picture, now I see a bite from those could be very very painful.
Anyways I donīt think Iīm getting one, first of all I live in Nicaragua and they donīt import them over here, and second Iīve read that they are very expensive to import so....too bad, it is my favorite snake. How much do they cost?

They sure do have wicked teeth, but, I still plan on getting several. If I get tagged, I'll be sure to post the pics!
