Gangreen

Hey
Nothing close to snake related but i got gangreen(spelling??) on my arm yesterday. Insane how fast this stuff gets bad. I got stabbed in the arm yestday at work in the forearm. By this morning it hurt so bad i wanted to cut off my arm. Within 24 hours it went from just getting poked in the arm, to me being in the arm with a wart/birthmark like bump on my forearm the size of a nickel andf bout 3-4mm high off my arm. Hurts like you couldn't beleive
hope no one here every has to get this or ever has gotten it

Are you sure thats gangrene steve? Gangrene is when an apendange putrifies and often results in the affected limb needing to amputated.
Are you sure it isn't just an infection?

just got outta the hosital with the results from it...it got bad really fast but i got meds and stuff for it. Gangreen is curable depdning on the case and how fast u catch it...mine grew really fast thought but it should be fine. i got the week off work from it now which isn't too bad

Has this been verified as Gang Green by a Doctor. If not i'd advise you see one ASAP. Flesh eating bacteria you know... =o

Ahh I see, because gangrene actually is the death and decay of (formerly living) tissue. Not something to be taken lightly!

Glad to hear you got meds for it - hopefully it'll clear up good, sooN!
