We keep our emeralds at a DTH of 82-84 degrees as a norm and an NTL of 75-77. Humidity during the day will reach a high of 85% for northerns and 82% for basins. A natural humidity drop will occur as the temps drop off at night. These are normal maintainence levels. Breeding temps and humidity are different when cycling and gravid females are kept at higher DTH's and NTL's, temp wise. We also make adjustments based on what individual animals seem to prefer, but always start in these ranges.
You really should have preped and tested your set-up before getting the animal as trying to achieve the correct temps and humidity while the animal is in the enclosure can be quite stressful.
Good luck with your new emerald, but I must warn you they are addictive!
