Vancouver...

Hey all,

In a couple of weeks I'll be heading down to Vancouver to try and find an apartment. I need to find a place that's close to Granville Island (going to school there) so maybe around Kitsilano, and that doesn't mind small pets (my herps, obviously ).

If anyone from the area has any recomendations, or has gone through this before, I'd appreciate any tips you can offer.

Are you going to Emily Carr?

There's not a lot of resdential areas near Granville Island and what is there is pretty price.

Kits is better, but again, pricey.

West 4th is hella expensive. All the way up to Point Grey is mucho $$.

Your best bet would be to find a place between Alma and Blanca on the West 5th - West 25th blocks. Should be something reasonable in there. But then again, that's not too close to Ganville Island. But the transit flies in Van. so you can just hop on a #10 or #4 and it'll take you right there!

Sorry, but I'm just going from memory here. I'll try and think of some more places for you.

I'm going to Emily Carr, and my boyfriend is going to go to the Vacnouver Film School.

As long as it doesn't take me too long by bus, I really don't mind. Thanks for the tips...looking forward to hear more.
