Hi,

Nice Monitor.

what is stopping it from running away, As I understand it they can be quite fast.

I keep him in a 6' high X 5' wide X 3' deep home built enclosure with sliding glass shower doors in front. On the bottom is a large water dish and it has large branches for climbing and basking. It used to be my iguana's enclosure. He makes no attempt to escape , but I do keep an eye on him . He's happiest just lounging about in the sun or digging in my wife's flowers .......LOL
