Question Humidity

hey i leave my heading pad and 100W lamp on 24/7 and i was wondering if its too dry...

does there have to be a certaint humidity level?

A bowl of clean water should provide all the humidity you will need.

The first thing you should do is find out what your humidity is... Having no point of reference we have no idea what the humidity is like, if you lived in a humid area you could end up with making the humidity perfect.

how do i find out how humid it is?? i live in the basement of my parents house and its quite cold sometimes. But my snake's cage is very warm. 87F

We bought our digital hydrometer/thermometer for about $35 from radioshack, and it works great. Before this, we purchased assorted petstore brands (zoomed. ect) ranging from $6-$15.
In my opinion, the petstore hydro/thermos are a waste of time.
