Cool More tiny eggs!!!

Well my Veiled Chameleon decided to lay her eggs last night as well. Zoe and I were on MSN comparing notes all evening! I'm TERRIBLY excited about my little clutch. Jadoo (my cham) was extremely tolerant of me taking her picture through the entire process considering how grumpy she has been for the last few weeks!

The start of the excavation at about 6pm April 18:

About half way down:

Jadoo actually laying: (approx 1am)

The fill in:

And 40 beautiful tiny eggs!

She's had a nice long shower (man, she was dirty) and a big drink of water. Mom is doing very well today.

Thanks for looking!

Trace

Yes! Sand won't hold together and it's dry and rough.

Also, she isn't given a substrate for most of the time, only to lay her eggs in. If you give them substrate they can accidentaly ingest it and get impacted. Mine at home don't have any substrate, and I don't believe Trace's do either.
