I'd say the minimum would be 2'x3', but bigger is always better of course! My two four-lined plateds are in a 5'x2.5' and they aren't the most active of lizards, they are underground alot.

For a plated lizard thats that size i would go alot bigger than 2ft x 3ft. I have a ornate plated lizard and hes in a cage thats 18 inches wide by almost 4ft.. hes only 16 or 18 inches big.. hes very active....But the more room the better for a plated lizard...
