Gravid Bearded Dragon

I was just wondering,
Before bearded dragons lay eggs will they stop feeding??? What are some signs to tell she is gravid(besides being able to feel them)??

It depends on the female as to whether she'll stop feeding or not. Most do, but some keep a hearty appetite right up till they drop the eggs. Being able to see and feel the eggs is really the only reliable way to tell, unless you draw blood hormone levels which is a pretty extreme thing to do.

It's usually pretty easy to tell when they are about to lay, though. The fat pads on their heads sink in, they become really restless and keep trying to paw their way out of their enclosures and start digging and shifting cage furniture around. It's usually within a couple days of this behavior that they lay their eggs. I've got one girl that's been digging ever since she was 6 weeks old, though, so she just drives me crazy and I keep her laying box real handy.
