I just couldn't take it anymore!

After seeing pics of all the beautiful new additions I had to join in. I was torn between boas, retics and scrubs and look who won this round. He's my first boa but perhaps not my last. I guess they have light and dark phases so here's his A & B side. He'll be here next Tuesday and I'm open to name suggestions. Big shout out to Richard and BSG for all the boa inspiration.

Another step further down that slippery slope, lol. Very nice looking boa, lot of breeding went into producing that one.

Pretty little guy. I like the subtle beauty of the snakes you're adding to your collection. His markings along his back remind me of Morse Code with the dots and dashes. Morse might be an appropriate name???

Re: I just couldn't take it anymore!

Very nice motley! Those side patterns are really unique for the morph. :O I mainly see stripes or no pattern there.

Boas are great, I think you'll fall in love with this one.

I should update on all the boas here soon, most of them have put on some size and/or weight.

Re: I just couldn't take it anymore!

Thanks BSG. I've been admiring your boas for years. You and Richard made a big impression on me with your awesome critters. I'm really looking forward to working with this species. I just have to be mindful that they're not pythons or colubrids and can't be fed as frequently. I usually feed my animals pretty liberally to get them up to size quickly and then scale back their feedings after their 2nd year but I'm gonna take the slow and steady route for the boa. My pythons reach adult size in about 3-4 years. I've heard the boa will take 5+ years. Patience is a virtue I need more of anyway.
