i am a new snake owner and new to this site i have done a lot of research on snakes and my snake but I'm in a pickle and don't know what to do my central american boa (Ares) is on his 3rd feeding with me this week he is about 9 months old. his first 2 feeding went outstanding. this one not so much he just wasn't striking. i realized his eyes were cloudy and after research i found stuff on him being in shed and wont eat because of that. so i just let him be for a few day he just curled up in his hide. now there is no shed and his eyes are not grey anymore. my question is do i let him be some more or do i try to feed again.
Hi kracken. Welcome aboard and best wishes. After their "blue" phase a snake's eyes will usually clear up for a few days and they'll shed shortly thereafter. Your critter should shed any day now. Hopefully you'll share some post shed pics of your boa.
Thank you so much i will show pics of shed for sure its all new and exciting to me. have to fix my camera so it takes smaller pics lol that is why his face is the only thing in the pic.
UPDATE: so Ares has started to shed but he looks very uncomfortable wrapped in a ball is this normal lol i apologize for the silly questions. just want to make sure
hell ares finally shed his skin and i know i said id send pics but he wasn't friendly with it he soaked in the water and drug the whole thing through the mud lol guess illl wait till the next one
