Retic feeding

I have two retics, both around 5-6 months old. I have been feeding them mediums for a while and this week I fed a large and let a pretty good sized lump. My question is did I jump to large too quickly?

I don't think so. They are amazing eaters. I have one that was eating fuzzies and pups about 3 months ago and he is up to mediums without a major lump. I'm going to bump him to larges soon and then rabbits within the next 3-4 months.

Re: Retic feeding

Bear in mind retics are incredibly easy to overfeed. They would happily eat every day if you let them. Retics should be on the leaner side and unfortunately an awful lot of captives are overweight.

Search for some of Tsubuki's posts on retic feeding as she gives an excellent insight.
