Massive Snapping Turtle
This morning I woke up to this in my backyard 0_o. My only guess is that it crawled up from the river last night and somehow found its way to my house. Honestly I have no idea why it would choose my yard but I'm glad I found it instead of our idiot animal control officer. Note, it was missing one eye but the eye was healed which I thought was interesting

found one the size of a dinner crawling toward the highway years ago. got a piece of re-cap that came off a truck and pulled it down into some grassy weeds. no way was i getting near those jaws.
