Re: Just Got First Snake, A Rosy Boa
(Sorry, touch screen made me hit submit two words in).
Yeah, but when I tried sand on my sand boas, I didn't feed them in the cage either. They still got in between their lips and teeth, and I'd have to restrain them once a week to routinely (and very gently) clean out the sand with a q-tip. Not to mention it's expensive and heavy, and a pain to clean out when the time comes for your first substrate change.
All in all, NOT worth it for me.

Re: Just Got First Snake, A Rosy Boa
I will make careful observations and see what happens Tiny, if I do notice sand in my Rosys nose area I will switch substrates, I wanted to try it first but I do know of the anti sand sentiment.
