Good or bad enclosure?

I found this on Craig's list. Wouldn't this have to be made water proof? I like it a lot and it's pretty cheap lol
What would have to be done to make it a good snake cage for Tyrion (MBK)? If it's even big enough?

Well other than the glass and the door which it needs added lol.

Custom Reptile Enclosure-80% finished

Re: Good or bad enclosure?

It would be huge for a MBK.I think most of the height would be wasted on a kingsnake(I could be wrong, I dont have kingsnakes).Instead of waterproofing just put down a piece of linoleum or vinyl carpet runner and silicon the edges.
For that price its got alot of potential. I wish I lived closer Id snag it up for my carpet python.

Beautiful looking with a lot of potential. I personally don't care that it is partially made up of pine. Which can be irritating to a reptiles respiratory tract.

Re: Good or bad enclosure?

I would stay clear simply because of the pine. I personally wouldnt put a single one of my animals in a pine enclosure or even have a pine branch in an enclosure.

Height isn't a waste on kingsnakes as long as you use it right however I too would steer clear because of the pine thing.

Wow, thank you for the straight forward answer. A simple yes or no would have worked. It was a question, sorry if it offended you. Ok I'm not really sorry lol. If you can't answer my question as the rest did with out trying to make me look like an idiot for asking, guess I'll just not ask anymore.

To the rest of you thank you for your answers. I am aware of the pine issue, my next question was going to be if I replaced it would that be ok? But I won't ask anymore questions. Thank you all for your time.

It might be me (not being english), but what is wrong with his answer? I personally don't read it as being sarcastic or offensive towards you...

I agree. I did not think the answer was intended to be sarcastic either. Just seal the wood and it doesn't matter what it is made from. I think the size is not right for a King snake.

Re: Good or bad enclosure?

Just get some water based polyurethane and paint a few coats on the pine and it will be fine. But the glass/lexan for the front could be pretty expensive.
It could make a really nice display cage though.

Hi, pine once sealed is perfectly safe to use for any reptile. I thought your answer was very polite even though I disagree in part!
