corn snake scale rot

My corn had scale rot for 2 sheds after being put on paper towels. Strangely it didnt fully go away until i put him back onto his aspen bedding. It was confusing haha but im glad its gone, now hopefully i can get him to eat! He hasnt eaten since 3/16/15... hes a 13 or 14y/o corn thats I've never had issues with until this year

Make sure to triple check under the aspen for any excrement and urine soaked spots so you don't have him get a relapse of the scale rot. Good luck with the feeding strategy.

Yeah i spot clean cages daily so i dont know how he got it in the first place.

Just that it will be harder to view it in the aspen substrate compared to paper towels. Especially the urine.

Im pretty good at smelling it. My rep room doesnt even smell so itd be obvious to my sensitive nose if someone defecated.
