First helping trip :)

Went out on my very first herping trip this afternoon, at Halverson Lake in Idaho, with my sister and sister in law. Didn't see anything too exciting but thought I'd share the pics! Saw lots of little lizards, western fence, sagebrush and side blotch mainly. Only saw one snake all day, a gopher that we managed to catch and handle for just a minute before letting him go on his way, he was very mellow, poor guy had a rather large scar on his back. Got myself a nice sunburn in the process too!

Re: First helping trip :)

It was pretty fun and really close by so Im sure I will be out at least a couple times this year, that sunburn was killer though, the back of my neck is still recovering so definitely getting sunscreen next time!

I get excited seeing any critter lol. You did good! Don't matter to me if they are big or small critters or rare or common, I like finding them.
Great finds!
