Hello, I'm pretty new to the forums and to snakes!

I'm an arachnid guy and have garnered a new found interest in reptiles. So excuse me if some of my posts are a bit strange.

I've got a Chilean Rose Hair tarantula (G. Rosea or actually porteri), Mexican Red knee (B. Smithi), a few species of Wolf Spider, an emperor scorpion, common orb weaver... Zero reptiles as of yet, but I intend to get started awefully soon and thought I'd come here to try and learn something before I do.

Are there any unspoken rules I need to abide by both in the area of reptiles and this particular forum?

Welcome! Sounds like you have a nice collection. Not a fan of arachnids myself, but appreciate and respect their beauty and their place on the earth.

As for unspoken rules....keep an open mind, ask anything, ans don't feed the trolls. =)

Spiders give me the creepies. It's a pretty straight forward place. There's a little something for everyone.

Re: Hello, I'm pretty new to the forums and to snakes!

Welcome aboard! My daughter (she's 10) and I have 3 T slings. I have a G. pulchra, she as a B. albopilosium, and "we" have an A. metallica. She also has a southern devil scorpion (Vaejovis carolinianus) that we collected from the wild.
