Hatchling food size

What would you feed a 72 gram and 18 inch long ball python hatchling? I'm feeding him frozen hopper mice.

Re: Hatchling food size

anything between 7g to 12g would be good. so large pinky to small fuzzit. Rule of thumb is 10-15% of the animals weight.

Re: Hatchling food size

A baby ball will eat fuzzies to hoppers with no problems. We don't have to feed the perfect size prey. In the wild they eat what ever size they find.

Okay it sounds like I'm on the right track. The mouse I fed him 2 days ago was 8 grams.
