New JCP Set Up
Hey guys this is my first post I'm new on these forms so nice to meet you guys! I recently started to update the enclosure for my buddy aka Rivington the Jungle Carpet Python. Originally his set up was pretty much only where had had more of the minimal requirements (no vines, less fake plants, repti carpet, and a smaller terrarium).
So I bought some bedding, plants, and vines to put across so he had another level and stuff to climb and what not.
Sorry I can't post links yet because I'm new but if you go to imgur and type "a/CggUu" after it should show you the pictures I uploaded.
I found a deal on a larger terrarium last night and quickly picked it up for him today (36x18x18) and got a new large branch as well and set everything up in there along with doing my vines differently this time.
Last two are the previous updated set up in the old terrarium (36x18x12).
Let me know what you think and any suggestions are welcomed!

Re: New JCP Set Up
Here are some attached so they are easier to see since I didn't do that in my previous post.
(First picture is the previous updated set up and then the rest are his new and current one)

Re: New JCP Set Up
What is a JCP? How big is the enclosure? Where did you get it? And, if you don't mind my asking, how much did it cost? Oh, and what brand is it?

Yeah haha they get roughly 5.5 to 7+ feet though sometimes big females can push up to 8 feet.

Re: New JCP Set Up
your tank looks great mate
but imo it's too small to do a Jungle it's entire life (like you said in your post)
i would recommend a minimum of a 4x2x2ft for an adult Carpet...
or a 6x2x2ft for a large example
imo even if your Jungle was a small example 4ft to 5ft,there's not enough height in that tank
cheers shaun

Re: New JCP Set Up
Thanks Shaun yeah I know what you mean. He's a smaller male I expect him to probably only get around 5 feet. If I had a female or coastal I'd definitely have a bigger one.
He doesn't roam around a whole lot either (he's always kind of liked to stay low his whole life I've had him since he was a hatching) and likes to stay in around 3 different places most of the time depending on how he's feeling.
I might end up getting him a bigger one though when he does get bigger if he starts to use more of the enclosure or if it just doesn't look like it's enough.

Re: New JCP Set Up
Beautiful set up, but as Shaunyboy stated, I think you'll need a larger enclosure for him when he has attained his full size. Just my humble opinion...
