I have a question about this subject of breeding

First i have 3 rats two females one male , can i have the two females and male together when breeding ?

Take the male out before the females give birth, the male can impregnate the females immediately after birth. Which is unhealthy for the females, its too much strain on their body and they won't last long that way. Also increases the chances of the mother eating the litter. After you separate the babies from the mother, wait one week then put the male back in.

You can have the two females together at all times, but the male should be removed before the females give birth to prevent a pregnancy happening too soon. When I bred rats I usually gave my females several weeks to a month off between litters. I waited until after the current litter was weaned and then gave them a bit more time after that to recover from birthing and nursing. That kept the number of babies higher and the babies were bigger at birth.
