I joined the site looking for a diverse group of herpers as I am trying to get back into husbandry as I need some companionship.
I was born, raised, and educated in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Started picking up snakes at age three, got my first reptile bite at age five, and acquired my first snake at age 11. Went on to college to design and conduct research on salamander resource partitioning and the impact of wild boar on herpetofauna populations, was the primary contributor to two herpetofauna taxonomic surveys, and helped take care of the University's display animals.
After I graduating I headed west and have been working in biological consulting ever since.
Currently keep 1.0 Baron's Racer but also have experience with Common Water snakes, Garter snakes, Ribbon Snakes, Black Rat Snakes, Gopher Snakes, Green Anoles, Pond Sliders, Eastern Musk Turtles, Loggerhead Musk Turtles, Common Snapping Turtles, American Toads, and Green Frogs.
