desert herping
within 10 minutes of flipping rocks I found this little bugger, which is a first time flipping one

found two of these





a large gopher snake

poor tort


Found a rock that someone had moved, so I flipped it and turns out that when they had moved it they had squished a chuck underneath, super bummer, it was only a few days old max too.

3rd stop
flipped rocks, Rye and I found two ground snake sheds, on the way back to the cars, got buzzed by this beauty



Road cruising turned up two Arizona toads so we headed back to camp, found arizona and red spotted toads

next morning we headed out to look for ground snakes
Rye flipped this nice bugger

Steve flipped this scorpion



then I flipped this ground snake LIFER

and also found this dried up one under another rock

Spotted a Coach whip LIFER

finally after trying to get him to hold still for a shot, he crawled under a board and made for a nice shot


on to the next spot
two live chucks





we then set up camp and started road cruising
two gopher snakes. two DOR kings(one was on it's way out), and a Dor glossy
