Here we go again

Hi everyone, I hope you are all well. I've got another question about feeding. I can't seem to get it just right. I last fed my crew on Saturday. All three snakes ate two (18g) rat fuzzys each. She-Ra, my Sep 2013, 245g bull snake, pooped yesterday and was roaming her tank for hours last night. I know she's ready to eat again. I thought about giving her a small (10g) hopper or two but wasn't sure if I should just wait until the next scheduled feeding on Thursday or Friday. Both my yearling kings (269g & 241g) were out last night too but not nearly as intensely as the bull. She also has a tendency to scrape her nose along the screen top when she's hungry. I don't want her to hurt herself so do I feed her or just remove her climbing tree so she can't reach the top of the cage? If I do that she'll keep trying to climb up the t-stat probe wire and moves the probe, which throws off the temps in her tank. What to do?

Re: Here we go again

You may want to up the size of the food you are giving weekly if she's hungry so quick

Re: Here we go again

Remember that colubrids are more active snakes anyway, so itb isnt abnormal for them to be cruising aro umd between meals. I think once you up the prey size to something a little more substantial you may see a bit more latency between feeding and activity.

Re: Here we go again

Thanks ladies, I've got about a 2 month supply of small mice, medium mice and rat fuzzys to finish off. After that I'm ordering large and XL mice along with some rat pups, weanlings and a few quail. I've had to feed 2 prey Iitems lately but I'll get those larger feeders soon. Thanks again and best wishes.
