I have a three year old Irian Jaya, she has had some medical issues. She has at least one kidney that is possibly calcified (according to x-ray) and non functioning. She has had re-occurring issues with regurgitation and constipation, but in recent months has been doing much better. Vet suggested I put her down at one point but I am glad I did not.
This poor girl went almost a year with only keeping down a handful of meals. But daily baths, not feeding her for months at a time to let her guts have time to recuperate and feeding extremely small meals for her size has gotten her kind of back on track. She is now eating at every meal, has not regurged for months (knock on wood) and doesn't need daily baths anymore, more like weekly or bi-weekly. The soaking helps her to move things along, but she has also been going on her own. The picture at the bottom is her soaking bin, it is only shoe box size, and she still looks small in it!
Anyhoo, I wonder if she will always be stunted? She is a 2011, and my 2013 carpet is longer than she is, and almost the same thickness. She still has lumps inside of her which I assume are the calcified areas, but so far so good. The vet thinks perhaps she was born with a poorly functioning kidney.

This is a small fuzzy rat for size comparison. She had two. She has worked up from mouse fuzzies, to mouse hoppers, to rat fuzzies. She has also had one rat pup which went ok. In the past, upping sizes too fast has started the regurging all over again, so I have to keep her prey small.
