Varanus glauerti

The Kimberly Rock Monitor is a moderatly small sized monitor, reaching about a max of 32 inches. They are somewhat tolerant of handling, but may be alittle shy. For some reason, in this species, the female has a very short life span. I believe it is around 3-4 years, maybe shorter. Males will live a good 10+ years if kept properly.

Hope this helps,
