My boyfriend surprised me with this beauty!
My boyfriend went and bought me this gorgeous male pinstripe crested gecko, our roommate just moved out so we have a whole extra room now for our animals, we're moving the snakes into that room after we paint.
Here he is though, I named him Alduin because of how spiky and dragon-like he looks. He is around 2 years old and 45 grams (proven breeder). I am obsessed with him.

VERY cooling looking animal. Even though I am primarily a snake person, I love the look of some of the lizards and Cresties are certainly one of them.

He is beautiful! I recently found that I really like cresties, at some point I love to really get into them. That won't be for a while though unfortunately.

I really like them as well, I am also very much a snake person I've found myself getting more and more into lizards in general. The ease of care that crested geckos have is really awesome though.

He's gorgeous! You have a very nice boyfriend Are you going to paint your new reptile room a neat colour?

haha I am spoiled (but he really loves crested geckos as well), and I'm not sure what colour we are painting yet.. we are also painting our bedroom and I don't know what colour we are painting in there either lol probably just something warm and neutral for the spare room and something more bright for our bedroom.

Cresties are pretty cute, I definitely plan to have one in the future! I think a nice green would go well in your reptile room Still neutral but earthy!

Re: My boyfriend surprised me with this beauty!
Random question, do all crestiies crests fall as they age? Or is it a morph type thing ?

true true, I would probably lean more towards a darker forest green. I've always liked that colour.

It's a trait that only some have. My other two have upturned crests. A lot of breeders really strive for floppy crests though. They are very popular in the crestie community.

I've witnessed some around 70 grams.. that is insanely over weight though. They are healthiest at 35-45 grams as adults.

Re: My boyfriend surprised me with this beauty!
Thanks, I have been seeing a lot of the floppy crest lately , which makes since now because of the demand factor. I like both, so I don't care either way, just curious (:
