So I had another snake on my porch, same kind - DIN'T kill it
So here is another pic, I didn't kill it this time. Water snake or Copperhead?

but to be honest i didnt think Yugoslavia had copper heads to begin with

That is one remarkable lady. Based on sheer body thickness, definitely a female Nerodia. This snake will be defensive if you disturb her. However she has very small raspy teeth for grasping slippery fish & frogs.
Absolutely harmless, may startle you but that's all.
