Very nice looker. Keep in mind, you can not always guaranty that a snake will settle down and not be SNAPPY. I've had Dumeril's that were calm and other that were defensive.

Re: New girl, first Boa!
Thanks! She is actually more pink than orange, hard to get the right colors in a picture. I've been handling her lots lately, she has tagged me quite a few times and drawn blood once. I've never had a snake that has been like this, but then again, I've never owned one this young! I've done lots of reading and have read that a lot of Dumerils can be like this?
The only thing that has me a bit concerned is her lack of eating. I have talked to the breeder I bought her from and they fed her rat fuzzies before and she was eating fine but she hasn't shown any interest in anything since I've gotten her. She strikes at the rat and doesn't eat it. I know she is more defensive when she is in her cage, and I've been working with her more around her cage to get her out of that... I just wish she'd eat... It's been three weeks since I bought her.

Re: New girl, first Boa!
I've had snakes that didn't eat up to two months after receiving them.
Try feeding once a week until they eventually take it, assuming husbandry is all good.
