Thumbs up Boaz ate a f/t mouse!

So I've had him for about 2.5 years now and he has never eaten a f/t mouse, even though he was apparently on them before I got him. Well just now he ate the first f/t mouse I've ever offered him. So great to finally get him off live...

Congratulations!!! It's always a great feeling to finally convert a primarily live eater, to f/t.

Awesome.

Do you think where you got him from didn't have him on f/t?

If he refuses f/t again try pre-killed. Again congrats =]

Glad to hear he's eating regularly enough to take a thawed one.

I'm wondering that, since I have never been successful in feeding him f/t til now.

He eats regularly in the summer, he's actually a pig, lol. By fall he is slightly on the obese side, which I figure he does on purpose to prepare for his brumation. He goes off food every winter for about 6 months. The first winter I had him he freaked me out, because I was new to the whole brumation thing. Now I see a pattern and I know it's just the way he is.
