Not sure what you mean with the term 'backbiting', just sounds like your brongersmai is defensive which is perfectly normal. Not every snake is the same, some are more defensive than others. She may grow out of it and get used to handling, she might not.

Exactly, very defensive and striking also... and a little nervous I would say.
