they are melamine enclosures...I wanted 40w RHP's but he was out, so I grabbed 80...figured when we get enclosures for the higher temp snakes, we will get the 40's then and then switch them out, if need be...it was only $20 more for the 80w, so no big deal, there...I already have a 40 for my GTP (when he finally gets here...ugh)...so I haven't had any true RHP "experience"...LOL...but I hear they are "the way to go"! so excited to see the difference! I worry about "thermal blocking" with the UTH's since some of mine are in glass tanks...but once I am done, my corns, garter, and 1 other one may be the only ones left in glass...we may even upgrade them...we will see
