i got a corn snake from petco, it refused to eat. I went back 5x trying to get help and a vet visit out of them and they said it was perfectly normal. this went on for 3 weeks until she ended up dying. i took the dead snake back, and they tried to blame ME for not seeking help! i was livid! finally the manager came out and remembered me asking her for help on one of my visits and offered a replacement or my money back. i took my money back and went elsewhere. i now have a beautiful healthy lavender corn. ( have added 3 other snakes to the collection from the same place since then )
petco does not verify the health of their pets before selling them. the one i had that died was a hatchling that had not eaten or shed before they decided to sell it. no reputable breeder or retailer should sell a snake before it has shed and eaten a few meals! i would ask for verification next time..i learned MY lesson!
