a 15 gal isn't horrible but he will need to be changed pretty quickly.... i started mine off in a 40 gallon and they can stay in those for a while.. but these guys need a custom enclosure that is about 6ft long, 3ft deep and 2-3 ft tall.. i would start building his enclosure if you can.. but if you can't start right away he can stay in a 40 for quite some time.. atleast until hes about 4 ft i wanna say. my tank is 3ft long so mine has plenty of room and she is just over 3ft in length ( im starting her tank very soon
