Re: Scared for my boa

I find the biggest problem with IBD is that there is NO CLEAR way of knowing 100% anything based of tests until post mortem.

The fact your snake is still eating and surviving I would guess it's something else.

I am starting to wonder if it was trauma that happened at the boarding :/

I'd question the owner/manager on what they use to clean the enclosures and if anything might have possibly happened. I'd talk them politely and be sure to make it clear you won't sue (at least I hope not) so they would be more honest so you can better help your animal.

In my experience, eating animals aren't sickly. I'd still keep her quarantined for a lengthy period of time and get the tests done that you can (you seem to have already).

Best of luck.

Jerry rice is down stairs and athena is now upstairs in our master bathroom with the door shut at all times. Chantha has family over and i didnt want to burden her with snakes as well.

SO far she is pooping well, drinking and eating. With her issue i have been feeding her a smaller rat than usual once a week rather than a large one every 2 weeks. I didnt know if she would have trouble swallowing but so far she hasnt so I may bump her back to a normal large rat.
