Re: Profile: Serophina :)
Thanks, Shaun! Ya the ex is definitely the ex for a reason- the whole Serophina situation isn't the only bad thing that happened. Plus, when I finally got her back in my possession she had mites (it was a mild case- from what I've researched) and he didn't know how to care for her. He knew I paid for her already and wouldn't just give her back-he didn't want her anyway, so why not just hand her over?! He was scared of her HAHA! I dont get it though, every guy I've just spoke to since I got her either is afraid of snakes or had a bad encounter with them a doesnt like them. Someone needs to create a dating website for reptile lovers! (...anyone???) lol.
I do like the reptile shop I go to, but she had been in one of those smaller enclosures for 3 months or so. I can't believe no one wanted her, she was the best looking snake they had at the time. I was in there the other day and fell for a jungle carpet and the coolest looking GTPive ever seen. The Jungle was yellow and black(or was it a jaguar? I was too stunned to pay attention) and the GTP was bright yellow and purple- STUNNING! But I'm still investing in Sero so I can't pick up another $300 snake... And the carpet was a female but fun to handle since she was smaller then my girl. I should've never gotten a carpet- now imgonna be a cat lady AND a snake lady!

(a lot of people give me crap for saying she's cute and saying she's like my little puppy dog). I just took her out for a few minutes to say hello and she was curious as heck.... But I also noticed something on the bottom of her lower jaw (what I call her chin).... I'll try to get a good shot of it in a little while, hopefully it's just some stuff stuck to her or it'll come off with her next shed. Hah! I can't stop talking about her!

Re: Profile: Serophina :)
So excited! I think Sero is already happy with her "new" home! I put a new bag of cypress mulch in so the humidity is a little high, but I will keep an eye on it. My cats are hooked- wondering what the heck she is. She moves the slightest bit and one of them runs away lol. I snapped some good shots... Much easier to do now that I can be Face to face with her. It's so great to have her so close... Until she gets out and constricts one of my cats.
Still a little scared what would happen of Sero and the cats met. Anyone have any advice on that, or should I just avoid it altogether?

I agree to this, whole heartedly lol. My ex-boyfriend was very interested in the snakes but it was a surface interest only. He liked hearing about them and seeing them but never even offered to handle feed or help with them. Ever. Kind of upset me too, considering I took better care of his dog than he did... -sighs- oh well. I have three healthy darlings and I'll find someone who loves them (nearly) as much as I do if I can! It's a requirement with me. Love my royals. If you're scared, get over it. :P
Sera is really beautiful, it sucks that you had to buy her twice, but she definitely looks and sounds like she is worth it!

Haha, Kaetlin it's funny how many guys I know that scared of snakes.
I mean, c'mon, I'm a chic with a huge snake... Obviously they aren't all bad! I'd like to find someone who either has snakes, knows how to care of them or is willing to learn. It's almost comical lol. And thanks so much. Sero is definitely an amazing gal, which is the only reason I got her. Definitely worth every cent!

There aren't enough people in the world willing to either face their fears, or give reptiles a try. Shoot, I did just that! And Serophina says thank you, mark!

Re: Profile: Serophina :)
Arent guys supposed to be all macho? A guy who is afraid of a snake without some sort of past event explaining it is just comical. Women i can sort of understand, but most women are attracted to exotic beautiful things....reptiles!! Lol. Ive been single for about a month now and all i can think about if i think of being in a relationship again is "they better like my babies..." lol

Re: Profile: Serophina :)
she's so cool...love them carpets =]
and it's not about finding someone who loves snakes, just about finding someone who tolerates your interest and never tries to put you down about it. =3 Mine doesn't like snakes. but he doesn't tell me no (usually), and always makes sure I don't need help =3

Re: Profile: Serophina :)
I have had no luck on any grounds relating to my snake. But at least now my moment come over very often... She's terrified of snakes, so is my sister. I have the best picture of my sister holding Sero, looking terrified! Cracks me up...

Re: Profile: Serophina :)
what! that is awful.. i dont think any kids should get close enough to stomp on a snake to begin with just for safety reasons... but to actually kill them? poor snakes...
